Marlin's first experience in business was at the age of 16 when he started his own beef cattle operation. At the age of 18, he became a partner with his father Albert and family and built Stutzman Family Farms into a multi-million dollar operation. Growing seed corn, green beans, corn, soybeans, venturing into organic crop production, Marlin soon added a trucking company to the family operation to compliment the needs of their crop production.
At the age of 25, Marlin was elected to the Indiana State House, working part-time as the youngest serving state legislator for 8 years while still working full-time with the family business. He helped Governor Mitch Daniels to take the state from a $1 billion deficit to more than a $1 billion surplus and a 10 year fully-funded roads program, without raising taxes. He was elected to the Indiana State Senate in 2008, representing a large portion of the counties in Northeast Indiana.
Elected to the US House of Representatives in November, 2010, U.S. Congressman Marlin Stutzman quickly emerged as a pro-business, pro-family, conservative leader for Northeast Indiana. As a member of the Financial Services Committee, Agriculture Committee, the Budget Committee, Veterans Affairs Committee, and the Dean of Indiana’s Republican delegation in the House, Marlin worked hard to bring common sense to an out of control federal government. Congressman Stutzman was proud to serve the needs of the hardworking Hoosier families who call Indiana’s Third Congressional District home.
Marlin graduated from Lake Area Christian School in 1994 and attended Trine University where he studied Accounting and Business Management. The Stutzmans attend Northside Baptist Church in Elkhart and live in Middlebury. Marlin’s heart for mission work has led to short-term mission trips in Russia, Haiti, Mexico, and Guatemala. Marlin is a member of the LaGrange Chamber of Commerce, NFIB, ARC of Indiana, the Indiana Farm Bureau, the Howe Community Association, the NRA, and several Hoosier right-to-life organizations.
Christy earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Voice, studying under well-known tenor, Raymond Gibbs, formerly leading tenor at the Metropolitan Opera. Christy is a graduate of the 2015 Richard G. Lugar Women in Leadership Series and has been a featured speaker at events around the country. In 2010, she began hosting “Ladies for Liberty” seminars, training women to become more active in the political arena. In August of 2014, Mrs. Stutzman began writing a weekly column for The Washington Times entitled “Just Sayin’” and also wrote for The Daily Signal.
She is a member of the Indiana Right to Life State Board and worked as the Federal Communications Director for Live Action for 2 years, speaking to members of Congress and arranging informative seminars and press conferences for members of the US House of Representatives and US Senate.
In 2001, she started a successful online business which she managed and ran for 7 years. In 2012, she and her sister, Wendy, started Ava Laurenne Bride, a bridal shoppe in Fredericksburg, Virginia which has since grown to a million-dollar company and has been instrumental in launching an international consulting firm and training program for business owners in the bridal industry.
Christy is a board member of the Heartland Chamber Chorale and from 2013-2015 she served as the National Chorus Director for the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution where she directed the 120 voice All-American Chorus in Constitution Hall each year for the DAR Continental Congress in Washington, DC.
She enjoys composing for choral/ensemble works and in 2018, she composed and orchestrated 10 original songs for the stage production of “A Christmas Carol: A New Musical” which premiered on November 24th in South Carolina. She has collaborated with new writers and producers to mount a new production of the show in Pigeon Forge, Tenessee in the fall of 2020.
The Stutzman’s own Schönbrook Farm in Howe, IN and Stutzman Power Equipment between Shipshewana and Middlebury. They reside in Middlebury, where Marlin’s family has been settled for six generations.

When John Branyan stepped onto a tiny stage in the early 90’s, he thought his interest in comedy was just a phase; he thought he would get the whole thing out of his system.
But, more than 25 years later, he still loves making people laugh with his style of speaking that won’t leave a filthy residue.
“People didn’t invent laughter,” John says. “It was given to us by someone who knew we’d enjoy it.” And he never gets tired of sharing that gift with others. “Every show, my goal is to hurt people. Seriously. I want people’s jaws to ache. I want their sides to cramp up. I want them to experience dizziness from oxygen deprivation. When they are in pain, I’ve done my job.”
When he isn’t speaking or teaching, he’s playing board games with his family.
Our program will be available soon!
