We are 6 months away from the best month of the year, December! It is filled with so much joy and festivities, including your company holiday party! At Kruse Plaza we provide more than a venue, but an experience that will leave your guests in awe as you celebrate the milestone year!

What does it take to book your Holiday Party:

1. Choose the right venue (Kruse Plaza)

When it comes to corporate holiday parties, size matters. After all, you want your venue to be big enough to accommodate all your guests but not so big that it loses that intimate feel. At Kruse Plaza we have spaces to accommodate a company of 50 all the way to a party of 900.

2. Make a budget

While it’s important for your holiday party to be impressive, it’s equally important to ensure you don’t go over budget.

Before you start booking vendors or ordering decorations, sit down with your boss and figure out how much money you have to work with. Once you have a number in mind, do your best to stick to it.

There are plenty of ways to throw an amazing party without breaking the bank here at Kruse Plaza. We offer a variety of in-house catering, beverage, entertainment, and decor options to help find your unique taste that matches your budget.

3. Festive food and drinks

No matter what time of year it is, food and drink are always important considerations for any event. Try to serve festive and appropriate items for your corporate holiday party in a work setting. Decide if you will do a full meal or just finger foods.

You can incorporate the festive theme with special drinks, desserts, and appetizers offered by the Kruse Plaza Catering and Beverage service teams. We offer a catering showcase in November for you and your planning team to try out some of these offerings at no additional cost to you!

4. Activities

One of the best ways to get everyone in the holiday spirit is to plan fun activities for them to participate in at your party.

Ideas we have seen are: photo booth, caricaturist, circus, casino, live band, comedy, and magicians. You could also set up some holiday-themed games or organize a gift exchange or company raffle for prizes to aid in the fun!

Dress Attire: Unless your corporate holiday party has a specific theme that requires a certain type of attire, it’s a good idea to set a dress code. This will ensure that employees know what to wear and helps set the tone for the event.

Interactivity will encourage attendees to engage, allowing employees a great way to get to know one another outside the office. Make sure whatever activity you choose is appropriate for your company’s culture and the overall tone of your event.

5. Hire a professional photographer

A corporate holiday party is a great opportunity to get fun and festive photos of your employees to use in future marketing materials for you, our venue, and your photographer. These images would also make for a fun gift idea by having a photo booth station or pictures with Santa or a vintage vehicle from us!

6. It takes a Team!

Planning a corporate holiday party is a big undertaking, so it’s important to delegate tasks and put together a team of people you can rely on to help you out. From your owner, to staff committees, to our Kruse Plaza coordinating team~ we will work together to ensure your upcoming holiday party is a turn-key and stress-free experience for you~ allowing your employees to have an amazing experience!

7. Just in case….

Just in case issues arise… That is why Kruse Plaza is the best choice! No matter how well you plan, there’s always a chance something could go wrong on the day of your corporate holiday party. That’s why it’s important to have a venue and vendor team that will allow you to sit back and enjoy your experience as a guest as well.

8. Promote the event in advance

The sooner you start promoting your corporate holiday party, the better. This will give employees time to clear their schedules, make arrangements, and help build excitement for the event. When sending out invitations, include all the important details, like the party’s date, time, and location. You should also include a dress code if there is one. If you are allowing a plus one, be sure to add that to the invite as well.

Kruse Plaza takes into consideration that not all companies have employees respond timely. We have a planning process of starting to budget at an estimated number and increase or decrease based on your RSVP’s.

9. Decorations

Kruse Plaza has a design coordinator that can help you design the holiday party decorations around your festive colors or theme! We can customize the designs or have a variety of centerpiece and backdrop options for you to choose from. You can learn more at the link on our website!

10. Company Party Gifts

One of the big questions you’ll have to answer when planning your corporate holiday party is whether or not to allow gifts. On one hand, gifts can add to the event’s festive atmosphere. On the other hand, they can also be a hassle, and not everyone may be able to afford them. Simple ideas like a stocking exchange or gift card exchange can make this planning process easier.

This is something that you can also check the budget and see what works for your company to offer employees gifts throughout the evening via raffle prizes or candies on the table with “thank you for a great year” notes.

Here at Kruse Plaza we strive to provide excellence in planning your event making it a turn-key and stress-free experience, so that you get to enjoy your own holiday party and your hard work you have put into your company over the last year!
